ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has said that there is no restriction on supermodel Ayyan Ali from travelling abroad.

e the remark while hearing the contempt of court plea filed by Ayyan Ali against secretary interior over not
removing her name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The apex judge, hearing the case, said that the court had earlier issued its verdict on
the petition. “All petitions have become void after the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan,” he added.
The chief justice said, “There is no restriction on Ayyan Ali from travelling outside Pakistan.” He also remarked that the detailed verdict on
the petitio
n will be announced soon.
It should be noted that model Ayyan Ali had filed a contempt of court petition against secretary of Interior, stating that her name was not being
removed from the ECL despit
e the orders from the apex court.
The model pleaded to the court to
remove her name from the ECL and take action against Secretary Interior and other officials on flouting the court orders.
It should be noted that the apex court had ordered
remova
l of Ayyan Ali’s name from the list on 30th January, 2017.
