KOHAT: District police claimed to have arrested 78 criminals – including five ab
sconders – during crackdown against illegal elements on Thursday.
According to district police office (DPO), teams from every police station in the district were directed to widen the range of the crackdown against the criminals, adding that during raids, two facilitators w
ho had given refuge to ab
sconders were also held.
The office further said that the criminals involved
in smuggling, drug peddling, robberies, kidnapping and killing were apprehended and two AK-47 guns, three shotguns, two rifles, five pistols and
hundreds of bullets were recovered from their custody, along with four kilogram hashish.
The police registered the cases and began inve
stigation.
