ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Naval Staff Ad
miral Muhammad Zakaullah, who is on an official visit to Qatar, called on Qatar Defence Minister Dr Khalid Bin Mohammad Al Attiya on Thursday.
According to a press release by Pakistan Navy issued here, matters of
mutual interest and defence collaboration were discussed during the meeting.
The ad
miral highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to fight against terrorism a
nd emphasised on Pakistan Navy’s role of in this regard,
including the participation in Coalition Maritime Campaign Plan (CMCP) and Counter Piracy Operations as well as Command of multinational Task Forces 150 and 151.
Qatar’s Defence Minister acknowledged the warm and brotherly relations between Qatar and Pakistan, while highly appreciating the role of Pakistan Navy in maintaining peac
e and stability in the region.
