ry Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad
has said that amicable solution to the issue of Dawn leaks
has strengthened democracy in the country.
He was responding to a motion moved by leader of the opposition and others regarding Dawn leaks in Senate on Friday.
The minister said that some forces wanted to destabilize democratic sys
tem over the issue of Dawn leaks
but the matter was handled and resolved prudently.
He urged all the political parties and the media to end debate on Dawn leaks in the best interest of Pakistan for stability of democracy and supremacy of the constitution.
Earlier, participating in the discussion, opposition members criticised the government over handling of the issue.
